Logic & Conditional Branching
Conditional logic allows you to create adaptive forms that change depending on how a respondent answers previous questions. Instead of showing irrelevant questions, you present a tailored pathway that increases completion rates.
How Logic Rules Work
Every logic rule in InfiForm consists of an If condition and a Then action:
IF [ Question 1: "Are you interested in Enterprise?" ] IS EQUAL TO [ "Yes" ]
THEN JUMP TO [ Question 5: "How many team members do you have?" ]
ELSE JUMP TO [ Question 2: "What is your primary use case?" ]Supported Rule Conditions
- Is equal to / Is not equal to: Exact string match (e.g. choice selected).
- Contains / Does not contain: Useful for free-text answers or multi-select arrays.
- Is greater than / Is less than: Numerical comparisons (e.g.
budget > $5,000,rating <= 3). - Is answered / Is not answered: Checks whether a field was filled or skipped.
Common Logic Patterns
1. Lead Qualification & Routing
Route enterprise leads directly to a calendar booking or expedited contact question, while directing personal users to standard self-service resources.
2. CSAT / Net Promoter Follow-up
- If NPS is 9 or 10 (Promoter): Ask "What do you love most?" and provide a link to leave a public review on G2/Trustpilot.
- If NPS is 0 to 6 (Detractor): Ask "Where did we fall short and how can we make it right?" to catch churn risks before they happen.
3. Early Termination / Disqualification
If an applicant does not meet core criteria (e.g., location, minimum age, certification), immediately route them to a polite disqualification Thank You screen without making them finish the entire form.
